This groundbreaking program weaves Jewish teachings, story, and song with personal challenges, outdoor skills, non-parental mentorship, peer group community building, and nature awareness activities to provide an embodied way for youth to explore coming-of-age.
B’naiture provides independent tracks for girls and boys to serve their unique needs at this critical juncture. A parallel parent group explores how to best honor and support your children at this critical time.
B’hootz is a nature-based Jewish learning program for children in the Bay Area of any denomination or observance level who seek to integrate and ground nature-based exploration and environmental action within Jewish spirituality, tradition, and ethics.
Classes will meet at regional parks throughout the East Bay. B’hootz is an opportunity for children to bring Torah to life through discovery of the natural world and an ongoing, experiential conversation between what they learn in the sciences and what they learn through Jewish studies.
